As a society, we have accepted the fact that as people age, they become ill. Many of us struggle with weight gain following our teenage years. As we age there is the possibility of developing issues with cholesterol, Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension and other heart related issues, and as my parents would softly and fearfully whisper in conversation during the 1970’s “cancer”.
Watching television, surfing the internet, and reading popular magazines today results in a constant reminder of how medicine can help resolve our health issues and how “diets” can remove unwanted fat.
